For example, you want a new team created whenever a user submits a Nintex - Form. By using variables, you can capture data entered in the online form such as team name and description. You can insert these variables in the Microsoft Teams - Create a team action to give your new team a name and a description.

To add members to the new team, you can use the Microsoft Teams - Add member to a team action.

Important: If you want to create a plan for the team, you must add yourself as a member of the team before you create the plan. Use the Microsoft Teams - Add member to a team action to add members to the team.

Configure the Microsoft Teams - Create a team action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  3. Type a Team name for the new team, or insert a variable in the Team name field.
  4. Type a Description to describe what the team is about.
  5. Select who can see or access your new team from the Privacy drop-down menu.
  6. Expand and select Guest settings.
  7. Expand and select Member settings.
  8. Expand and select Messaging settings.
  9. Expand and select Fun settings.
  10. In Output, assign variables to store the properties of the new team.
