Workflow ribbon

The Workflow ribbon is part of the Nintex Workflow designer. The Workflow ribbon contains the following buttons.

Section Button Description

File

Save

Includes the following drop-down options.

  • Save: Displays the Set Title & Description dialog box to save the current workflow.
  • Save As Snippet: Displays the Save as Snippet dialog box to save the current workflow as a snippet.
  • Save As Template: Displays the Save as Template dialog box to save the current workflow as a template.

Publish Displays the Set Title & Description dialog box to publish the current workflow. For more information, see Publish workflows.

 

New Clears the designer canvas and starts a new blank workflow. A warning message appears if the current workflow has not been saved.

 

Open Displays the Open Workflow dialog box to open a previously saved workflow. For more information, see Open and save workflows.

 

Close Closes the Nintex Workflow designer and returns to the previous location. A warning message appears if the current workflow has not been saved.

 

Print

Includes the following drop-down options.

  • Print: Displays a print view of the workflow.
  • Print with Notes: Displays a print view of the workflow and its notes.

Import/Export

Import Displays the Import Workflow dialog box for selecting a workflow file (*.nwf) for import. For more information, see Import and export workflows.

 

Export

Includes the following drop-down options.

  • Export: Initiates browser process to download the current workflow to a local file (*.nwf).
  • Export to Visual Studio: Available for reusable workflows only. Initiates browser process to download the current workflow to a local file (*.wsp) for use with Visual Studio.

Settings

Workflow Settings

Includes the following drop-down options.

  • Workflow Settings: Displays the Workflow Settings dialog box.
  • Variables: Displays the Workflow Variables dialog box.
  • Manage Start Variable Order: Displays the Manage Start Variable Order dialog box.

Connection Manager

Displays the Connection Manager dialog box for managing connections to external providers. For more information, see Connection Manager dialog box.

View

Zoom In

Increases the designer canvas viewing size.

 

Zoom Out

Decreases the designer canvas viewing size.

 

100%

Restores the designer canvas viewing size to the default setting.

Help

Help

Includes the following drop-down options.

  • Help: Displays the Nintex Workflow 2016 online help.
  • About Nintex Workflow: Displays the About Nintex Workflow dialog box, listing information about the version and license.
