Deleting a workflow

Deleting a workflow

When you want to delete a workflow created in K2 Designer for SharePoint it is important to note that you are able to delete the following:

  1. K2 Designer for SharePoint process definition - this is deleted from the K2 Web Designer database. This does not delete the workflow if it has been deployed to the K2 Server, which will mean that all running instances will continue to use the default version of the workflow even if the process definition has been deleted. Follow the steps below to delete the process definition.
    • Select the Library or List in which the workflow was built in.
    • Click on the K2 Workflow icon in the Library tab.
    • Select the Edit an existing workflow option.
    • Click on the workflow to be deleted and click OK.
    • Once the workflow opens Select File > Delete.

    • A message box will be displayed asking you to confirm that the workflow is to be deleted. Select Yes.
    • A warning message will confirm that the deletion was successful.
  2. Delete the K2 Designer for SharePoint process from the K2 Server. This can be performed in K2 Workspace> Management  Console> Workflow Server> Processes> [Admin User]> [Process Name] > Versions. For more information see the topics below:
