K2 BLACKPEARL PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION: USER GUIDE
Process Deletion from K2 Workspace

K2 Workspace

The K2 Process Delete functionality is only currently available from within K2 Workspace under K2 Management > [K2 Server]>Workflow Server>Processes > [Admin User]> [Process Name] > Versions.

Alternative Locations of Access

Process Portal does not currently support the process deletion features however, the tooling provided merely leverages the features available from the K2 API and the API can be used to affect the same result.

Using the K2 API is not recommended since the K2 Workspace tooling includes a number of system checks that ensure a 'safer' means of deleting Process Definitions.

Deleting a Process

Once the Process definition and the selection of items have been deleted, there is no restore function. The only means of restoring is from system backups which are created independently to this process and the responsibility of the system Administrator.

The K2 Workspace listing of processes does not directly allow the deletion of a process. Located above the process listing  is a button labeled Delete process and this will load the Delete Process tooling which is used to enable the user to manage visually what will be deleted along with the process. This does make the process more visually intuitive in terms of what is being deleted and will help the user to make better decisions when deleting.

The process deletion tooling provides the following primary options which will be elaborated on.

  1. Delete the selected version (i.e. the version highlighted before clicking Delete Process)
  2. Keep the default version, but
    1. Delete all other versions
    2. Delete historical Data
  3. Delete Everything
    1. Default version, other versions (Older, newer)
    2. All instances, running or otherwise
    3. Log Data
    4. Workflow Reporting SmartObjects, or
    5. Delete Everything, but keep the historical Data and workflow reporting SmartObjects
