K2 Studio - Editing SmartObject Methods

K2 blackpearl allows users to create and configure SmartObjects with standard functions, methods and settings. Composite business processes require advanced functionality to guarantee the processes' effectiveness. K2 blackpearl offers an edit mode that provides the ability to create new service methods, determine parameters and change existing settings and methods of SmartObjects. The SmartObject Method Wizard opens when a method is selected and the Edit button is clicked on the SmartObject Methods toolbar. This allows the user to change the method's details related to the SmartObject.

The shortcut for editing a method is Ctrl+Shift+E

The methods available are default methods created and made available at design time. The default methods can be removed from the K2 SmartObject and new ones created. A K2 SmartObject must have at least one method.

The Edit button opens the SmartObject Method Wizard consisting of the following screens:

Welcome	Starts the process of the SmartObject Method Wizard configuration
Method Details	Configures the Method Name, Method Type, and Transaction
Method Parameters (Advanced only)	Allows Parameters to be added, edited, or removed for the SmartObject Method
Service Object Methods	Allows methods from Service Objects to be added, edited or removed
Service Method Links (Advanced only)	Allows methods from Service Objects to be added, edited or removed
Finished	Signifies the end of the SmartObject Method Wizard
