To start the Default Activity Wizard, select the Default Activity Wizard from the Activity Wizards Toolbox and drag the event onto your activity. Click on the Run the default wizard icon displayed on the Default Activity as shown below:
The following diagram shows the components that can be used with a Default Activity

Activity Component | What it does |
---|---|
Preceding Rule | Checks that all the conditions have been met before an Activity can be initiated within a Process. |
Start Rule | Determines when an Activity should start, it can start immediately or only once certain criteria are met. |
Destination Rule | Determines which workflow participants will would be completing the workflow item generated by the Activity. |
Edit / Create Rule | The rule editor creates a logical statement that is evaluated when the default activity needs to be sent to the destination user to be actioned. |
Activity Escalation | Allows you to send out notifications if the worklist item has not been completed within the allocated time frame based the working hours defined in the Process. |
Working Hours | Models the working hours of the workflow participants within the organization. |
Events | Executes any Client, Server or Inter Process Communication (IPC) Events that is associated with an Activity. |
Succeeding Rule | Checks whether the fixed or variable slot allocations has been met before the Activity can complete. |
Exceptions | This Error handler sends an error message to the K2 Server if any of the above mentioned steps fail. |
General Properties | Configures the properties of the Activity. |
