Send Credential
The Send Credential action sends a credential from your botflow to a target. Credentials are encrypted using the very secure Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). For more information, see Encryption Standards.
Note: The Actions Quick Reference provides a complete list of actions that you can print for easy reference.
Create a Send Credential Action
-
Create a credential in the botflow Automated steps that you can design for each bot that will run.. For more information, see Create Credential.
-
Drag and drop the Target Selector onto the targeted application.
The application opens in the Target Preview.
-
Select Send Credential.
-
Select the Credential name.
-
Select the value to send (username, password, or field) from the Field drop-down list.
-
Type the value of the field to confirm it in the Confirm field. If you are sending a password, type the password to confirm.
-
(Optional) Select the Click before sending check box if you want Nintex RPA LE to click the target before sending the data to it. This option can be useful when the target application requires that the user first give focus to the target before sending data. For example, some target applications require that you first put the cursor into a text box before typing in it. In this case, this option should be selected.
-
(Optional) Select the Tab after sending check box if you want Nintex RPA LE to send a Tab key to tab out of the target field after the data is sent. Some target applications require a user to tab out of a field before the data is saved. In this case, this option should be selected.
-
Select a keyboard Speed to choose how quickly the keystrokes are sent to the target application:
Note: A consistent delay is added between each keystroke when using the Very Fast, Fast, Medium, Slow, Very Slow, and Slowest speed settings.
- Auto (Recommended) When the keyboard speed is set to Auto, Nintex RPA LE will attempt to adapt the keystroke speed to your target application. Navigational keys (such as Tab, Enter, Right Arrow, etc.) are sent using Nintex RPA LE's "smart speed" technology. This causes your botflow to be more reliable. If the Auto setting does not properly adapt to your target application, select a different speed setting.
- Very Fast
- Fast
- Medium
- Slow
- Very Slow
- Slowest. A noticeable pause will precede the keystrokes, which are then sent at an extremely slow rate. Keystrokes only need to be sent at this speed in rare cases.
-
Click Rules to modify how Nintex Bot finds the target.
-
Configure the Timing and Error settings.
Note: For more information about the timing and error settings, go to Action Builder.
-
(Optional) Type a Note to document special instructions or functionality.
-
Click OK to save the action.
If the run switch is set to Run, the action is executed and the credential is sent from your botflow to a target.
Note: The run switch is set to Run by default. To create or modify this action without executing it, click the slider to change the option to Don't Run. For more information, go to Action Builder.
