A channel can be defined as a category-based collaboration space inside a team created for a specific purpose. For example, in a team called Marketing Team, you can create channels such as Brochure Designs, Key Clienteles, and Roadmaps. Each channel has its own dashboard to post messages, tabs, and the usual environment you get from the default channel.

Configure the Microsoft Teams - Create a channel action

1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
3. Select a Team in which to create the channel.

Note: Team drop-down list displays a maximum of up to 999 teams. If you want to select a team that is not in the list, you need to insert a variable in the Team field.

4. Type a Channel name.
5. Type a Description of your new channel.
6. In Output, assign a variable to store the result of the action. You can use this ID later in your workflow to reference the new channel.
