Mailchimp - Create automation

Use the Mailchimp - Create automation action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. to create a new automation in Mailchimp. An automation lets you build a series of emails that send to subscribers when triggered by a specific date, activity, or event. The Mailchimp API currently only supports the 'abandonedCart' type of automation.

Configure the Mailchimp - Create automation action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  1. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. Select the List from the drop-down.

  2. Select the Store from the drop-down.
  3. Specify who the automation sequence is from in the From name field.
  4. Specify the reply to email in the Reply email field.
  5. Create or select a variable for the Automation output.

Output Automation

Stores the result of the action as an object with the following variables:

  • ID: (Text) The identifier for the automation.

  • Created time: (DateTime) The date and time the automation was created (in ISO 8601 format).

  • Started time: (DateTime) The date and time the automation was started (in ISO 8601 format).

  • Status: (Text) The current status of the automation. Possible values are: save, paused, or sending.
