Mailchimp - Create automation

Use the Mailchimp - Create automation action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. to create a new automation in Mailchimp. An automation lets you build a series of emails that send to subscribers when triggered by a specific date, activity, or event. The Mailchimp API currently only supports the 'abandonedCart' type of automation.

Configure the Mailchimp - Create automation action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  1. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.

  1. Select the List from the drop-down.

  2. Select the Store from the drop-down.
  3. Specify who the automation sequence is from in the From name field.
  4. Specify the reply to email in the Reply email field.

  5. Create or select a variable for the Automation output.

Store The store from which the automation is sent. This list is populated based on the List you chose. You can also get a Store ID from the Mailchimp - Get stores action. Text, Decimal, Integer, Boolean, DateTime, Collection
Settings From name Who the automation is from. This is not an email address, just an identifier. Text, Decimal, Integer, Boolean, DateTime, Collection
Reply email The reply-to email address for the automation. Text, Decimal, Integer, Boolean, DateTime, Collection
Output Automation

Stores the result of the action as an object with the following variables:

  • ID: (Text) The identifier for the automation.

  • Created time: (DateTime) The date and time the automation was created (in ISO 8601 format).

  • Started time: (DateTime) The date and time the automation was started (in ISO 8601 format).

  • Status: (Text) The current status of the automation. Possible values are: save, paused, or sending.
