Note: Microsoft has changed the name of Azure Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID. However, Nintex Workflow and the help still refer to this product as Azure Active Directory.

Configure the Azure Active Directory Administration - Add user to Office 365 group action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  1. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. Select the name of the Office 365 group.
  2. Only a maximum of 999 groups are displayed in the drop-down list. If the group you want is not in the list, insert the name of the group as a variable.

  3. Enter the User name of the user you want to add to the Office 365 group.

Office 365 group

The Office 365 group that you want to add the user to.

Only a maximum of 999 groups are displayed in the drop-down list. If the group you want is not in the list, insert the name of the group as a variable.

Note: 
  • Only groups of Source type Windows Server AD are supported.

  • You can insert the group ID of the group as a variable.

  • Duplicate group names might be shown in the drop-down because Azure Active Directory allows duplicating group names. A duplicate group name can be selected from the drop-down, however inserting a duplicate group name as a variable is not supported and will result in a workflow error.

User name

The user name of the user you want to add to the group. This is commonly an email address.

Stores the result of the action in an object with the following variables:
