Azure Active Directory - Get user details

Note: Microsoft has changed the name of Azure Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID. However, Nintex Automation Cloud and the help still refer to this product as Azure Active Directory.

The Azure Active Directory - Get user details action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. retrieves information about an employee of an organization with a directory configured in Azure Active Directory. The information could be an employee's name, email, job title, country, and more.

For example, you want to retrieve the details of a new employee for HR onboarding purposes. By using the Azure Active Directory - Get user details action, you can retrieve these data, store them in an object, and insert the variables from the object in an email using the Send an email action.

Configure the Azure Active Directory - Get user details action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  1. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. Type the User email address of the user you want to retrieve information.
