Accounts

Accounts are a mechanism for bundling users and settings into a single unit that can be easily configured and modified. Accounts may be configured to mirror your corporate structure, or accounts may be configured to delineate sales units that should be branded uniquely. Each sub-account in the accounts section may inherit your parent account's settings, or select which specific settings may be uniquely configured.

Accounts and Sub-Accounts

Account – Accounts are set up to allow you to manage your Nintex eSign settings and documents. An account provides you with the ability to set up users, configure branding, and manage document and template workflow. An administrator of an account can create sub-accounts for various departments within a company.

Sub-account – is a child account tied to the parent account. The sub-account can copy the same branding and configuration from the parent account or could have a different configuration and branding.

Once accounts and sub-accounts have been created, you then have the ability to search for those accounts using the Search function.

Account Templates and Account Groups

  • Account Groups provide a means for grouping accounts, and allow you to modify a single setting on all members of a group at once by modifying that single setting on the group.

  • Account Templates provide a mechanism for saving application settings for later use. These templates can then be applied when a new account is being created to minimize the need for manual setting configuration.

Working with account groups and templates is very similar to working with accounts. You will create a group or template and then select Configure to access the settings view.

Change Account Names

Account names can also be changed in the event of an acquisition, change of ownership, or other action that might necessitate updating an account's name.

This action can be done through the Accounts screen or by selecting an account and editing the Account Display Name field.

Changing an Account's name also changes the name retroactively on all reports generated in Nintex eSign.
