Process group overview
The process group Process groups are a collection of processes that share a common theme or objective. Process groups enable you to organize and manage your processes, arranging them in helpful categories and controlling who has access to them. overview shows a high-level view of a complex end to end process, defined at the process group level and made up of a series of linked sub-processes.The process group title is displayed in the map view and left navigation pane.
The background and objective sections are a clear description of what the processes aim to achieve and where they apply. The background and objective sections can also include:
- notes on why the processes are required.
- context around any special circumstances that affect them.
- reference to legislation or regulations that might contribute to their purpose.
Create or edit a process group overview

- Do one of the following:
- For creating a new process group, follow the steps in Create a process group.
- If you want to edit an existing process group, go to Processes > All Processes, click on the process group, and then click Edit > Group Overview.
- Click the Add Link drop-down list to add sub-groups, processes or decision points in a sequence:

- In the Select Group dialog box, select the process group and then click Select.
- Assign a role if you want to include the process / process group in the end-to-end process flow or leave role as Unassigned for process / process group that are not part of the end-to-end process flow but you want to include in the process group overview as Other Groups and Processes in the Group.

Conditional
Conditional processes recognise minor variations in the typical process workflow. A conditional process is a step that is followed if the defined conditions are met.

Decision
Decision points indicate significant breaks in the typical workflow. They provide a link to an alternative process if conditions mean the normal flow doesn’t continue.
- Type a description.
- Assign a role if you want to include the process / process group in the end-to-end process flow or leave role as Unassigned for process / process group that are not part of the end-to-end process flow but you want to include in the process group overview as Other Groups and Processes in the Group.
- Select Yes or No from the drop-down list.
- Click Add Process or Group.
- In the Please select a process or process group dialog box, select the process or process group and then click Select.

Note:
- Convert a linked process to a parallel, conditional or normal process by clicking
and selecting the required option. Parallel sets have a blue line to the left of the processes included in the set.
Move an item around by selecting it and dragging and dropping it to its new position.

Undo/Redo changes by clicking Undo/Redo at the top right of the Edit page. All changes made within the current editing session can be undone or redone, but once you exit the editing session the ability to undo/redo those changes is lost.

The connector lines between sub processes display only when a role is assigned. If there are associated processes in the process group that are not a part of the primary flow, you can have a swimlane with no role assigned.
Process group overview
Delete a process group overview
- Go to Process > All Processes and click on the process group.
- In the process group page, click Edit.
- Expand Group Overview and hover over each item you have included and click

- Click Save.
Print a Process Group Overview
- Go to Process > All Processes and click on the process group.
- On the top-right of the process group map, click
.
- In the Print Options dialog box, select the required options.
What is printed when the "All processes within group" or "Only processes within overview is diagram" options are selected ?
- All processes within group - selecting this option prints only processes located in parent process group (processes visible on the left hand side in navigation panel).
- Only processes within overview diagram - selecting this option prints only linked processes (displayed on the overview diagram). Any linked process groups and the processes within them are not printed.
Are 'In Progress' processes printed when I print a process group overview?
Yes, if you have included In Progress processes in the process group overview and select the Only processes within overview diagram option.

Share a Process Group Overview
- Go to Process > All Processes and click on the process group.
- On the top-right of the process group map, click
> Email Group.
- In the Email Group dialog box, select the user(s) or type the email address(es) in the To field.

The Admin > Configure > Minimode settings for your Nintex Process Manager site will determine if a user needs to login to view a minimode A permalink to a Nintex Process Manager process or document which allows anonymous users to access processes, documents or process groups. process group link.
