• Fixed an issue where after changing a Nintex Workflow integration, upgraded workflows were going to the old Nintex Workflow tenant. This setting was due to the integration setting been cached for 24 hours before the upgrades would succeed.  This has been changed to now cache for 30 minutes. Users should wait at least 30 minutes after an integration change before attempting an upgrade to their new Nintex Workflow tenant.

• Resolved an issue when an upgrade is failing if the workflow has no name.  The Nintex Workflow workflow is now created with the blank name given a default of 'No workflow name was provided'. This will be appended with numerics if duplicates exist.

• The following additional actions are now mapped to the corresponding actions in Nintex Workflow, without configuration:

  • Exchange online create calendar item

  • Exchange online update calendar item

  • Exchange online retrieve calendar items

  • Exchange online cancel calendar item

• An update to component workflow variables. Previously, all component workflow variables (initiation or workflow variables) were upgraded as start variables. This has now been changed to upgrade all variables to workflow variables.

• The Repeating section control in Nintex for Office 365 is now mapped to the Repeating section control in Nintex Workflow.

• Fixed an issue where if a workflow was renamed during the upgrade, subsequent upgrades of that workflow created new instances in Nintex Workflow instead of overwriting the previous upgrade.

• Fixed an issue where the workflow was failing to upgrade with an error when large multi-part form fields are in use.

• Fixed an issue where the Regular expression action was displaying in the upgrade details page as Action available soon.

• Improvements have been made to the Office 365 upgrade status. To provide greater clarity there is now a single status column with updated status.

• Improvements have been made to the Office 365 upgrade details panel. There is now a single upgrade panel for consistency with improvements to the terminology used in text buttons.

  • Office 365 Update item permissions now adds additional actions to support list item ID and URL only if they were previously populated in Office 365.

Important information

• Support for attachments in the Send an email action has been removed temporarily because it was causing upgrades to fail.

• Fixed an issue where the attachment configuration in the Assign a task action was not displaying metadata.

• Fixed an issue that resulted in bad request errors occurring when the Office 365 update item permissions action was in use.

• Fixed an issue where the Azure AD create user action was missing the time component of datetime.

Important: The Upgrade Tool supports upgrading workflows to Nintex Workflow Cloud tenants located in the new Canada Data Center.

New features

• Actions that have an invalid operator configuration will be marked as unconfigured and the operator will be reset to blank/empty to allow for the valid operator to be selected.

• Improvements have been made to the configuration mapping for the following:

  • Assign a task action to Assign a task to multiple users action (including configuration that can be mapped and attachments).

  • Start a task process action toAssign a task to multiple users action (including configuration that can be mapped and attachments).

  • Send an email action now supports attachments.

• Additional action mappings from Nintex for Office 365 to Nintex Workflow Cloud now supported:

New features

• Updates to Task Forms:

  • Classic forms are now converted to New Responsive Forms in Nintex Workflow Cloud.

  • The People picker control in Nintex for Office 365 is now converted to the People picker control in Nintex Workflow Cloud.

• Improvements have been made to the configuration mapping for the following:

  • Scheduled workflow settings:

    • Support for site workflows that have a single schedule that is enabled will now be mapped when upgraded.

    • If a workflow is set to be used as both a scheduled and component workflow, the workflow will be upgraded using the scheduled start event only.

  • Conditional start settings:

    • If a workflow has both Start when created and Start when modified enabled, and both events have conditions set, the workflow is mapped to the SharePoint Online - New or Update list item start event and the conditions for Start when modified used.

    • If a workflow has both Start when created and Start when modified enabled, and only one event has conditions set, the workflow will be mapped to SharePoint Online - New or Update list item start event and the conditions for the one event used.

  • Site workflows that use Set workflow status action now maps to a placeholder action instead of SharePoint Online – Update item permission as site workflows do not have an associated SharePoint list.

• Additional action mappings supported:

  • Terminate current workflow action maps to End this workflow action.

  • Add Time to Date action maps to Add time to date action.

  • Dependent on the configuration, Office 365 Create list item or document set action maps to one of the following actions in Nintex Workflow Cloud:

    • SharePoint Online - Create an item.

    • SharePoint Online - Create a document set.

  • Call HTTP Web Service action maps to the new SharePoint Online - Call a SharePoint web service action if calling SharePoint.

• Actions now mapping to the equivalent Nintex Workflow Cloud action without configuration:

  • Wait for Event in List Item maps to SharePoint Online – Wait for event in list item.

  • Start a Workflow now maps to Call a workflow.

  • Update XML now maps to Update XML.

  • Consider unsupported functions as well when determining whether a form is partially converted.

  • Formula referencing Boolean control will be inferred as Boolean.
