ClickSend

ClickSend is a product that allows its user to track, receive, and send SMS messages, voice messages, emails , and upload media files. The ClickSend products include the following:

The following actions are available:
You can use the ClickSend actions to send marketing MMS messages to a contact list.
Use the Get contact lists action in a workflow to retrieve all contact lists. Use the Get countries action to retrieve a list of countries and their country codes. Use the Send a voice message and Send a voice message to a list actions to send text-to-speech voice messages. Use the Send an MMS action to send a multimedia message. Use the Send an SMS and Send an SMS to a list actions to send SMS messages. Use the Upload a media file to make a file accessible to one of the ClickSend gateways.
Create a ClickSend connection
You can create connections from the Automate or Designer page.

- The account you use to create a connection for ClickSend is the account that has access to the ClickSend actions.

Get the username and API key from your account API Credentials page (the key icon) in the ClickSend dashboard.

On the top navigation bar, click Automate, and then select Connections from the left navigation.

On the Connections page, click Add new.

In the Add a new connection section that opens, fill in the following.

Click Connect.

In the Configure a connection window, fill in the fields as follows.

Connection name A name for your new connection. Username Your ClickSend username. Get the username from your account API Credentials page (the key icon) in the ClickSend dashboard. API key Your ClickSend API key. Get the API key from your account API Credentials page (the key icon) in the ClickSend dashboard. -
Click Connect.

If prompted, enter credentials and grant access to Nintex Workflow Cloud.
- In the permissions dialog, you can do one of the following:
- Edit the Owners or Users permissions according to data source usage requirements and click Save permissions.
Tip: You can assign connection owners or users permissions according to your access requirements. For more information, see Permissions.
Your new connection appears on the Connections page.

Access the Designer page
- On the top navigation bar, click Automate > Workflows, and then select the required workflow.
(Or)
- On the top navigation bar, click Automate > Create workflow.
- Click the ClickSend action you want to add the connection to, or drag a ClickSend action into the workflow and select it.

In the drop-down list for Connection, select Add new connection.

In the Connection window, fill in the fields as follows.

Note: By default, users with administrator role will have the same rights as a Connection owner.

Follow these steps to assign permissions from the Connections page:
- On the Connections page, click
for the required connection.
- From the menu, select Permissions.
- To assign permissions:
- In the Owners field, type the name of the user, and select from the list.
- In the Users field, type the name of the user, and select from the list.
The corresponding permissions window is displayed.
- Click Save permissions.
Create a ClickSend data source
Use the ClickSend data source to retrieve contact lists and the ClickSend list of countries.
Example: To allow users to select a specific contact list in a form, to send a marketing SMS to, add a drop-down list of contact lists to the form using a Data lookup control A form control that allows users to select from a drop-down list of values that have been fetched from a third-party service.. The Data lookup control uses a ClickSend - Get contact lists data source to list the contact lists available from the ClickSend connection in the drop-down.
You can create a data source to:
- Get contact lists: list the contact lists available from your ClickSend account. This can be used with the ClickSend - Send an SMS to a list and ClickSend - Send a voice message to a list actions.
- Get countries: list the countries available from your ClickSend account. This can be used with the ClickSend - Send an SMS action to format the phone number.
Each data source is configured for a specific user. You can create as many data sources as you need.

To add a ClickSend drop-down list to your form:
- Create your ClickSend data source.
- Add a data lookup form control to your form and configure it to use your new data source.

When you create a ClickSend data source, you can configure some additional fields to specify which tables, views, and stored procedures the data source should retrieve.
