Slack - Create a channel

The Slack - Create a channel action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. makes a new channel in a Slack workspace. For more information about the Slack connector, see Slack.

Note: Channel names have a 21-character limit and can include lowercase letters, non-Latin characters, numbers, and hyphens. See the SlackCreate a channel Help Center topic for more information.

Configure the Slack - Create a channel action

1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.

3. Select a Channel type.
4. Type the Name of the channel you want to create.
5. Select a variable from the Store channel ID drop-down to store the new channel's ID.

Field	Description	Variable types
Connection Credentials and other settings that enables workflows to communicate with external systems, services, or applications. It's required to pass data between the workflow and the indicated service, which could be a cloud service, business application, or content store. Output	Variable to store the channel ID of the new channel.	Object
