SharePoint Online - Create a list

Use the SharePoint Online - Create a list action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. to create a list in the specified SharePoint Online site.

Configure the SharePoint Online - Create a list action

Important: Before inserting variables in the action configuration, you must manually type or select the values and populate other dependent fields in order to retrieve the output data. Once configured, you can insert variables to the required fields.

  1. Open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add, rename, and copy actions.

  2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.

    Note: 

    Only the connections created with the List and libraries authentication method will be available in the Connection drop-down.

    For more information about authentication methods for SharePoint Online connections, see Authentication methods for SharePoint Online connections.

  1. Type a SharePoint site URL and click Retrieve templates.
    Example:https://domain.sharepoint.com/sites/hr

    Important: Custom templates are not supported.

  1. Type a List name for the list that you are creating.
  2. Select a Template for the list.

SharePoint site URL

The URL of the SharePoint Online site in which you want to create the list.

To retrieve the SharePoint site data, type the SharePoint site URL and click Retrieve templates.

The name of the list you want to create.

New list navigation Add link to Quick Launch of the parent site

Options to set up the quick launch link for the list to be created. The following options are displayed:

  • Yes : A quick launch menu for the created list is added in your SharePoint site home page.
  • No : Quick launch menu is not created for the new list.

Options to set up the site navigation for the list to be created. The following options are displayed:

  • Yes: The created list is displayed in the site navigation.
  • No: The created list is not displayed on the site navigation.
