Microsoft OneDrive for Business - Move a file

The Microsoft OneDrive for Business - Move a file action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. moves a file from one folder to another folder in Microsoft OneDrive for Business.

For example, when a document is approved in a review process, the Move a file action moves the document from a Draft folder to an Approved folder in Microsoft OneDrive for Business.

Configure the Microsoft OneDrive for Business - Move a file action

Caution: If a file/folder that's used in a workflow is moved, renamed, or deleted, any workflows that use that file/folder will not start or will fail. Make sure you keep the paths in your workflow configurations up to date.

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add, rename, and copy actions.

  2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. For Source, select Path or File variable.
  2. One of the following fields are displayed depending on what you selected for Source:
    • Path: Type the path of the file that you want to move. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon ().
    • File variable: Select the variable of the file that you want to move.
  3. Under Destination, in Path, enter the path where you want to move the file to. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon ().
  4. Select an option for Overwrite file.
