Dropbox Business - Copy a file

The Dropbox Business - Copy a fileaction A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. copies a file from one folder to another folder in a selected Dropbox Business account.

Configure the Dropbox Business - Copy a file action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add, rename, and copy actions.

  2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. Select the Member ID.
  2. Note: When the Connection and Member ID are selected, the Source Path and Destination Path fields become configurable.

  3. For Source, select Path or File variable.
  4. If you selected:
    • Path : type the file path of the file to copy. You can also click the browse icon () to browse the folder structure and select the file path.
    • File variable : File variable from the current workflow that specifies the file to copy.
  5. Under Destination, in Path, type the file path where you want to copy the file to. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon ().
  6. Select an option for Overwrite file.

Caution: If a file/folder that's used in a workflow is moved, renamed, or deleted, any workflows that use that file/folder will not start or will fail. Make sure you keep the paths in your workflow configurations up to date.
