Box - Store a file

The Box - Store a file action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. stores files in the specified variable to Box.

Configure the Box - Store a file action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  3. In File, select the source file. You can select a file variable for a single file or a collection variable for a set of files.
  4. In Folder path, type the file path where you want to copy the file. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon ().
  5. Select an option for Overwrite file.

Maintain path integrity

Caution: If a file/folder that's used in a workflow is moved, renamed, or deleted, any workflows that use that file/folder will not start or will fail. Make sure you keep the paths in your workflow configurations up to date.

Overwrite file

When Yes is selected, overwrites existing file with the same name in the destination.
