The Assets page lets you create new tables and manage existing tables in a solution.

View tables in a solution

  1. Go to Solutions > All solutions.

  2. Select the solution you want to access from the list. This opens a list of assets in the solution.

  3. On the submenu, click Tables.

Create a table

  1. On the Assets page, click Create asset.

  2. Select Table from the drop-down.

  3. In the Table name field, enter a name for the table.

  4. (Optional) If you want to add more information to identify the table, add a Description.

Note: A maximum of 255 characters can be entered in the Table name and Description fields.

  5. (Optional) To store data in a language that is not English, select The data stored in this table will not be in English.

  6. If the language check box is selected, select the language from the What language will be used? drop-down. The language you choose has an impact on how data is stored, filtered, and sorted.

In addition to English, the following languages are currently supported:

    • German

    • Spanish

    • French

    • Japanese

    Important:
    • The language cannot be changed after the table is created.

    • The supported SQL collation settings for the available languages are:

      • English: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI

      • German: German_PhoneBook_CI_AI

      • Spanish: Modern_Spanish_CI_AI

      • French: French_CI_AI

      • Japanese: Japanese_CI_AI

  7. Click Create.

The table is created and displayed on the Tables page. In the table you created, you can add columns, import and export data, as well as make entries in the table. For more information about creating tables, see Tables list.

Manage tables

You can open and delete tables with the options available in the Assets page.

Important:  Assets inherit design-time permissions from the solution. To give users design-time access to an asset, add them to the solution with the appropriate solution role. For more information, see Assets.

Each table on the Assets page has an options menu with actions relevant to that table. Some options are common to all tables, while others depend on the permissions.

  • To open the options menu, find the table you want and click that's displayed on the right of the table.

For information about the different options available, see Table options ()

Open a table

  • On the Assets page, click the name of the table you want to open, or click next to the table and select Open.

Delete a table

  • On the Assets page, click next to the table and select Delete.
