An App is a no-code application that you can add to a solution. It connects to data, services, and workflows to create user experiences and extend automation.

View apps in a solution

  1. Go to Solutions > All solutions.

  2. Select the solution you want to access from the list. This opens a drop-down of assets in the solution.

  3. On the submenu, click Apps.

Create an app

  1. On the Assets page, click Create asset. For more information, see Create and manage assets.

    Important:  Assets inherit design-time permissions from the solution. To give users design-time access to an asset, add them to the solution with the appropriate solution role. For more information, see Assets.

  2. Select App from the drop-down list.

    The Create new app dialog is displayed.

  3. Complete the fields. For more information on fields and their properties, see Configure an app.

  4. Click Create.

    • If the app uses a shared page layout, the newly-created principal page opens in the Page Designer.

    • If the app uses a standalone (non-shared) layout, the app opens in the App Designer.

  5. Design and save your app.

  6. To return to the Assets page from the App Designer or Page Designer, click the solution name in the top left.

Edit an app

  1. On the Assets page, select the app you want to edit, or click next to it and select Open. For more information, see Create and manage assets.

    The App Designer is displayed.

  2. Edit and save the app. For more information, see App Designer.

Delete an app

  1. On the Assets page, next to the app you want to delete, click and select Delete. For more information, see Create and manage assets.

  2. Click Delete.

Apps columns, settings, and selections

Asset type Column, setting, or selection Description
App Name App name set during creation.
  Last edited The date and time the app was last edited.
  Edited by

The name of the user who last edited the app.
  App options ()

  • Open: Opens the selected app in the App Designer.

  • Delete: Deletes the selected app from the solution.
