What is the Detect Excel Action?
The Detect Excel Action force detects the running Excel workbooks. Before Nintex RPA can interact with a workbook, it must first be aware that the workbook is open. Nintex RPA is designed to automatically detect Excel workbooks when they are opened. In certain scenarios, a workbook may not be detected due to how the workbook loads into memory. In these cases, a Detect Excel Action can be added to a Botflow to instruct Nintex RPA to look through all the running Excel workbooks and detect any that may have been missed when it was first opened.
Note: The Detect Excel Action is slow to execute, therefore use this Action sparingly to maximize speed. In most cases, this Action is not needed.
