Toggle Record

The Toggle Record action toggles the run state of the record on or off. For example, a record with a run state of Don't Run will be ignored and skipped when the bot is running. A record with a run state of Run will be used when the bot is running. After a record has been run, the run state will automatically be toggled to Don't Run so that it is not executed again, or vice versa.

Create a Toggle Record action

  1. On the Actions list, click Data and select Toggle Record.

  2. Select the record to Toggle:

    • Current

    • Previous record

    • Next record

    • Exact record. Enter the exact record number to be changed.

    • Record range. Enter the Start record number to change first and the End record number to change last.

    • All records. If selected, all records will be changed from the current state to the opposite state.

  3. If needed, adjust the Run Error Task settings and Timing settings to fine tune how the action runs.

  4. (Optional) Add a Note to document special instructions or functionality.

  5. Toggle the run switch to Run and click OK to execute and save the action.

    6. Note: The run switch is set to Run by default. To create or modify this action without executing it, click the slider to change the option to Don't Run.  For more information, go to Action Builder.
