What is the Save Action?

The Save Action saves any changes made to the botflow since the last time it was saved.  This can be used to save the latest variable values in a botflow.  It can also be used to save the botflow after all variable values have been cleared.

Note: When a Save Action is run by Nintex Bot in Bot Mode thru FoxHub, the botflow will never be saved. This is because the botflow is sent directly to the bot in memory rather than by sending a botflow file.  Because no botflow file exists, it cannot be saved.  In this scenario, the Action will not fail. It will simply continue on without saving the botflow.

Creating a Save Action

Select Me to expand the Action list. Select the Save Action from the Actions list to display the Action Builder.

The Error  settings for this action may be configured to fine tune the how the Action will run.

Note: For more information about the timing and error settings, go to Action Builder.

Check the Only save if running  option if you want to prevent the botflow from being saved while writing or testing.  If this option is selected, the botflow is only saved when it is running by clicking the 'Run' button on the Run Bar.  If the option is not selected, the botflow is saved anytime the Save Action is executed.

Optionally add Notes to the Action to document any special instructions or functionality. When the Run Switchis set to Run, the action will be executed after clicking OK.

Note: The run switch is set to Run by default. To create or modify this action without executing it, click the slider to change the option to Don't Run.  For more information, go to Action Builder.

Click the OK button to save the Action.
