Clear Variable

Using the Clear Variable action, you can:

  • Clear the value of selected variables.
  • Clear stored variable information within a botflow.

Add a Clear Variable action to a botflow

This example provides the steps necessary to add a Clear Variable action to a botflow.

To add a Clear Variable action to a botflow:

  1. On the Actions list, click Data and then click Clear Variable from the Variables list.

    2. The Clear Variable Action Builder window displays.

  1. Set the Clear Variables settings.

    Clear: Select the Clear Variable behavior from the drop-down list.

    Selection Options: Optionally, select an option to quickly select or deselect all listed variables.

  1. If needed, adjust the Run Switch setting to create the action without running it.
  1. Optionally, add an action note.
  2. Click OK to add the Clear Variable action to the botflow.

    • Clear: Select the Clear Variable behavior from the drop-down list:
      • All selected variables: Clears all selected variables in the list.
      • All except selected variables: Clears all unselected variables in the list.
      • All variables: Clears all variables in the list.
    • Selection Options: Optionally, select an option to quickly select or deselect all listed variables.
      • Check All: Selects all variables in the list.
      • Uncheck All: Deselects all variables in the list.

Run Switch

The Run Switch toggle controls how Nintex Bot runs an action when adding or editing an action in a botflow.

  • Run: To run the action automatically when you click OK, switch the toggle to Run.

  • Don't Run: If you do not want to run the action automatically when you click OK, switch the toggle to Don't Run.
OK/Cancel Click OK to save the action or click Cancel to discard the action or any changes.
