Clear Field
The Clear
Field clears the value of a specific values currently loaded into a .
Using the Clear Field action, you can clear the following entries:
Some examples of using the Clear Field action are, clearing fields in preparation:
- Of closing the database.
- For the next iteration of a loop.
- For the next run of a record.
Add a Clear Field action to a botflow
This example provides the steps necessary to add a Clear Field action to a botflow.
To add a Clear Field action to a botflow:
- On the Actions list, click Data and then click Clear Field from the Records list.
The Clear Field Action Builder window displays.
- Set the Clear Field settings.
Records: Select the Clear Field record behavior from the drop-down list.
Clear: Select the Clear Field clear behavior from the drop-down list.
Selection Options: Optionally, select an option to quickly select or deselect all listed record fields.
- If needed, adjust the Run Switch setting to create the action without running it.
- Optionally, add an action note.
- Click OK to add the Clear Field action to the botflow.

Records: Select the Clear Field record behavior from the drop-down list:
- Current record: Clears current records in the list.
- Record range: Clears a selected range of records in the list.
- Exact Record: Clears an exact record in the list.
- All records: Clears all records in the list.
Clear: Select the Clear Field clear behavior from the drop-down list:
- All selected fields: Clears all selected record fields in the list.
- All except selected fields: Clears all unselected record fields in the list.
- All fields: Clears all record fields in the list.
Selection Options: Optionally, select an option to quickly select or deselect all listed record fields.
- Check All: Selects all record fields in the list.
- Uncheck All: Deselects all record fields in the list.

| Run Switch |
The Run Switch toggle controls how Nintex Bot runs an
action when adding or editing an action in a botflow.
- Run: To run the action automatically when you click OK, switch the toggle to Run.
- Don't Run: If you do not want to run the action automatically when you click OK, switch the toggle to Don't Run.
