Toolbar

The workflow toolbar is located at the top of the workflow designer and contains actions you can use to:

Save a workflow

Save a workflow for use later. You can save the workflow and overwrite an existing draft or use Save as to save a new workflow with a new name. Saving does not publish the workflow. For more information, see Save a workflow.

Publish a workflow

Publish a workflow to make it available to run when the configured start event The connector and event for triggering the workflow to run, including required configuration. View workflow versions

You can view the workflow version history and open a previous version of a workflow. Versions are created when a workflow is saved or published. For more information, see View workflow versions.

Change the regional settings for a workflow to cnfigure the default timezone and locale format. For more information, see Change regional settings .

Create and manage variables

Use variables to store data that you want to reference in your workflow. You can define, use, and update workflow variables as many times as you need throughout your workflow. Different variable types can be created and they and be used in your workflow.

You can access the variables pane from the toolbar to create variables and view a list of all variables that you can use in your workflow.

  • On the toolbar at the top of the workflow designer, click Variables.

Test a workflow

Test a workflow and run an instance of your workflow without publishing and exiting the workflow designer. For more information, see Test a workflow.

Clear the designer canvas

  • On the toolbar at the top of the workflow designer, click New.

View actions in use

View a list of actions and the unconfigured actions in the workflow. For more information, see View actions in use.

View upgrade details

Note: Only available for workflows that have been upgraded from Nintex for Office 365.

You can view upgrade details about actions in workflows after they are upgraded to Nintex Automation Cloud from Nintex for Office 365. You can view details of what actions were upgraded without issue and what items are not supported or require further review.

  1. Open the upgraded workflow.

  2. On the top right of the toolbar in the workflow designer, click Workflow upgrade details.
