Use the Yammer - Get users by email action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. to retrieve Yammer users, searched for by their email addresses. Use this action in collaboration with the Yammer - Send a message to users action.

Configure the Yammer - Get users by email action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  1. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. Specify the user's Email address.
  2. Create or select a variable for the output.

Output Users Stores the result of the action as an object. The following values are returned:
  • Category: (Text) The category assigned to the Yammer group.
  • Description: (Text) A description of the Yammer group.
  • External: (Boolean) Whether the group is an internal only (available just to your company) or an externally available group.
  • Full name: (Text) The name of the Yammer group.
  • ID: (Integer) The unique identifier number of the Yammer group. This can be found easiest from the URL: https://www.yammer.com/acme.com/#/threads/inGroup?type=in_group&feedId=10826583&view=all
  • Mugshot URL: (Text) The photo or icon link of the Yammer group.
  • Network ID: (Integer) The unique identifying number of the Yammer network that this user belongs to.
  • Privacy: (Text) One of the following:
    • Public Access: Anyone on your network can view the content posted to this group, and can join this group.
    • Private Access: Only approved members of this group can view the content and a group admin must approve people who request to join this group.

  • Show in directory: (Boolean) If the group is private, this allows the group to be listed in group directory and search results.
  • State: (Text) Pending or Active.
  • Stats: (Object) Group statistics:
    • AAD guests: (integer) The number of Azure Active Directory guests in the group.
    • Members: (Integer) The number of members in the group,
    • Updates: (Integer) The number of updates to the group.
