Create a form using the AI generator

Use the AI Generated Forms feature to describe the form you want to design and generate a form in seconds. This lets you create complex forms effortlessly and efficiently. The initial form design is generated based on the description provided. Additionally, more options are provided as suggested fields and you can add them to the form design if required. When you're happy with the form design you can open it in the form designer and add or remove controls and change the form layout and add styles and rules as required before you publish it.

For best results, provide specific details about the form you want to generate.

For example, to create an event registration form, you can enter the following description: Create an event registration form with fields for attendee information, ticket selection, dietary preferences, special requests, and additional information needed for event planning.

Legal Disclaimer

Beta Feature. AI Generated Forms is a beta feature that provides a new generative-AI experiment in Nintex Forms. Use is voluntary and for experimental purposes only, and your admin can turn off access to it at any time.

Integration with Azure OpenAI. AI Generated Forms is enabled by integration with Azure OpenAI Service, which comes with Microsoft's built-in Responsible AI and enterprise-grade Azure security. You can learn more about Azure OpenAI Service here. And about Microsoft’s applicable data, privacy, and security measures here. You acknowledge and agree that Nintex leverages Azure OpenAI Service to provide AI Generated Forms. By using AI Generated Forms, you authorize and agree that Azure OpenAI Service may access, use, and store any Inputs and Outputs pursuant to its relevant terms and privacy policies.

Modification of Access and Use. Nintex may limit, modify, suspend, discontinue, or terminate your access to AI Generated Forms at any time, with or without cause (without notice to you). Nintex may also separate AI Generated Forms from the Services at any time (without notice to you). Or Nintex may require payment for future or continued use (with notice to you). Nintex is not in any way liable to you for any limitation, modification, suspension, discontinuation, termination, or separation. Without limitation, the laws and regulations governing artificial intelligence and related technology are uncertain and evolving, and the ability to use AI Generated Forms may be adversely impacted in the future.

Inputs and Sensitive Information. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you make available while using AI Generated Forms (collectively, “Inputs”) is appropriate and permissible under Nintex’s Customer Use Policy and that you have the right to use such Inputs. In using AI Generated Forms, you are advised to safeguard important data; to not input confidential, personal, or sensitive information, and to use caution, particularly in relation to the Inputs.

Outputs and Verification. You are also responsible for any information, materials, or other content you generate using AI Generated Forms (collectively, “Outputs”). You acknowledge that Outputs may not be accurate, complete, reliable, or otherwise fit for use (including from a legal and/or business perspective). Any Outputs should only be used as a starting point, and you should independently verify and cross-reference the Outputs with other reliable sources to ensure that the information or content is accurate, lawful, and otherwise appropriate and permissible under Nintex’s Customer Use Policy and before making any decisions or taking any actions based on the Outputs. You understand and agree that Outputs may not be unique across users and AI Generated Forms could generate the same or similar Output for other users. In addition, other users may input similar prompts and receive the same, similar, or different responses. You are not required to use any Outputs and should modify it as appropriate to ensure compliance with applicable laws, this notice, any applicable agreement with Nintex, and Nintex’s Customer Use Policy. Your use of AI Generated Forms and any content resulting from such use is entirely at your own risk. Nintex is not responsible or liable to you for the use of AI Generated Forms or any Outputs. It is provided as-is without any warranties or guarantees of accuracy.

Acknowledgement. By using AI Generated Forms, you acknowledge and accept that: (i) AI Generated Forms integrates with third-party software tools provided by Azure OpenAI Service; (ii) your use is subject to this Disclaimer Notice and the terms of any applicable legal agreement between you and Nintex; and (iii) you have read, understood, and agree to this Disclaimer Notice.

Create the form using AI

Open the Form designer.
On the toolbar, click Start with AI.
Enter a description about the form you want to create in the text box.

Note: For better results, provide specific information about the form you want to create.
Click Generate.

The form is generated and displayed. The initial form fields and suggested fields are displayed on the left side of the screen, and you can refine the form as required.
(Optional) On the Form fields section on the left panel, click to remove a field from the form.
(Optional) If you want to change the control data type, open the drop-down of the form field and select the control you want.
(Optional) To view additional suggested fields, click Refresh suggestions in the Suggested fields section and click + to add a suggested field to the form design.
Click Apply changes.

Important: In order for any changes to take effect, you must click Apply changes.
Click Customize in Form designer to open the form in the Nintex Form designer.

The Form you created is displayed in the Form designer. The generated form can now be customized further in the Form designer. You can add or remove controls and change the form layout and add styles and rules as required.

Tip: If you want to go back to the generator to view the suggested fields again, or add more suggested fields to the form, click Start with AI in the toolbar.

Start with AI fields, buttons, settings, and selections

Field or selection	Description
Generate again	Go back to edit your description and generate a form again.
Form fields	Lists the recommended form fields. If you want to change the control data type, open the drop-down list of the form field you want to change and select the control you want. : Removes the field from the form design.
Suggested fields	Additional fields that you can add to the form design. The suggested fields are displayed when you click Refresh suggestions.
Refresh suggestions	Displays more suggested fields. Click + to add a field to the form design.
Apply changes	Apply the changes. Important: In order for any changes to take effect, you must click Apply changes.
Customize in Form designer	Opens the form in the Nintex Form designer. You can configure controls and change the form layout and add styles and rules as required in the form designer.
