Creating a Sensor

Creating a new sensor consists of the following steps:

• Adding a new sensor to the Sensor Catalog

• Editing sensor properties

• Running the sensor

Adding a New Sensor

Follow these steps to add a new sensor to the catalog:

1. In the Catalog, select the category in which to create the sensor

2. Do one of the following:

   1. Right-click the category and select New simple sensor or New multi-step sensor depending on your needs.

      

   2. From the menu bar, select Catalog > New simple sensor/New multi-step sensor

      

3. A new sensor is added to the Sensor Catalog Library.
