Workflow

Nintex Automation Cloud is a cloud-based capability on the Nintex platform where you can design workflows to automate simple to complex processes using drag-and-drop interactions without writing any code.

Workflow connections are used to connect Nintex RPA LE to your Nintex Automation Cloud tenant to run workflows. Before Nintex RPA LE can run a workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud, you must create a Workflow connection. Each Workflow connection is identified using a connection letter Rest method used to retrieve information from a web server.. Each Workflow Action added to your botflow Automated steps that you can design for each bot that will run. is linked to one (1) Workflow connection.

Obtain a Nintex Automation Cloud personal access token

  1. Sign in to your Nintex Automation Cloud tenant.
  2. Click the Settings menu at the top right corner of your browser window.
  3. Click Personal access tokens from the options on the left of the browser window.
  4. Note: If no tokens are assigned, click Create New on the right side of the browser window. See the Nintex Automation Cloud help documentation about Personal access tokens for more information.

  5. Find your Personal access token, click the ellipsis, and then click View Token.
  6. Click Copy ().
  7. Important: Be sure not to use an expired or revoked Personal access token.

Add a Workflow connection

  1. Click Add Item () on the Botflow Pane.
  2. Click Workflow.
  3. Select a connection Letter used to identify the Workflow connection.
  4. Note: Accepting the default letter will ensure that the same letter is not used when creating multiple Workflow connections in the same botflow.

  5. Type a unique name for the Workflow connection in the Name field.
  6. Enter the Access Token obtained from your Nintex Automation Cloud tenant.
  7. Select a region for Nintex Automation Cloud tenant from the Region drop-down list:
    • North America
    • Europe
    • APAC

    Important: Use the region listed in your Nintex Automation Cloud tenant or the connection will fail. You can find this information in your Nintex Automation Cloud Settings -> Tenant and license information.

  8. Optionally, enter a Note describing the Workflow Botflow Pane item.
  9. Click OK to create the Workflow Botflow Pane item.

Manage Workflow connections

  1. Navigate to the Workflow connection on the Botflow Pane.
  2. Right-click the Workflow connection.
  3. The Context Menu displays.

  4. Use the Context Menu to add, edit, and delete Workflow connections.
  5. Note: It is not possible to duplicate Workflow connections because of the use of unique access tokens.
