What is the Decrease Variable Action?

The Decrease Variable Action decreases a numeric variable value by a specified amount.

Note: This Action is available in Expert Mode. Read the Understanding Modes section of the Account Panel article to learn more about modes.

Creating a Decrease Variable Action

Under the Data Action group, select Decrease Variable from the Actions list to display the Action Builder.

Select the Variable to decrement. Then enter the amount to decrement by in the Value field.

When the Run Switch is set to Run, the Action will be executed after clicking OK.

Note: The run switch is set to Run by default. To create or modify this action without executing it, click the slider to change the option to Don't Run. For more information, go to Action Builder.

Click the OK button to save the Action.
