Copy Image

The Copy Image action copies an image to the user's Windows clipboard. After the action is run, the image can be pasted into any document that accepts images from the clipboard.

Note: The Actions Quick Reference provides a complete list of actions that you can print for easy reference.

Create a Copy Image action

  1. On the Actions list, click Images and select Copy Image.

  2. Select where to obtain the image from:

    • Nintex Bot Image Editor. You must ensure that the Image Editor is open when the action is run or you will receive an error that states, "There is no open image."

    • Image File. Navigate to and select the image File. Optionally, click the Magic Wand to use the Expression Builder. In addition, select the Speed for the image preview duration. Selecting a speed will display the image on the clipboard for the selected time so that you can see what is being copied to the clipboard when the action is running.

      Fast = 100 milliseconds

      Medium = 300 milliseconds

      Slow = 300 milliseconds

      Very Slow = 300 milliseconds

      None = 0 milliseconds

  3. If needed, adjust the Timing settings to fine tune how the action runs.
  4. If needed, adjust the Run error task settings to fine tune how the action runs.

    • Run error task: A botflow containing an error task automatically runs the error task in the event of an error. If the botflow does not contain an error task, the botflow stops in the event of an error.
    • Stop on error: The botflow stops in the event of an error.
    • Ignore errors: The action is skipped in the event of an error and the botflow attempts to execute the next action.
  5. (Optional) Add a Note to document special instructions or functionality.

  6. Toggle the run switch to Run and click OK to execute and save the action.

  7. Note: The run switch is set to Run by default. To create or modify this action without executing it, click the slider to change the option to Don't Run. For more information, go to Action Builder.
