Managing shared activity process variations
The Process Variant Management Module helps you to simplify the management and control of process variations. The Process Variant Management Module allows you to share content across processes that belong to a similar category. Use the Process Variant Management Module to:
- Simplify the management of multiple processes.
- Eliminate duplicate processes.
- Meet the requirements of specific locations, products, services, or customers.
- Capture variations across your organisation.
- Share activities between processes.
Example: If you require a set of processes with small differences across different areas, you can create a variation of a single process or create several variations within a variation category. You can then easily share and track shared content across the variations. To use process variations navigate to Admin > Variation.

- Create up to twenty variations of a process.
- Reduce complexity within processes.
- Increase consistency and control of process variations.
- Improve process relevance and compliance for different scenarios.
- Improve standardization of processes (saves time and costs).
- Use shared activities across variations and select the variations to which they apply.
- Easily unlink a shared activity for variation-specific changes.

You can create two types of variations in Nintex Process Manager:
- Variation categories that are common across different types of processes. For example: many processes might have variations for different regions, or variations for different customer types.
- Process specific variations that apply to a single set of process variations.
