Find a process

Nintex Process Manager allows you to search for specific processes, browse process groups Process groups are a collection of processes that share a common theme or objective. Process groups enable you to organize and manage your processes, arranging them in helpful categories and controlling who has access to them., or easily find recently viewed processes and favourites.

Search for a process or document

You can search for a process or document from the Home Page search box, or the search menu on the top right of the navigation bar.

The search quick results list (shown in the drop-down result list) searches the process and process group titles only. Press Enter or select the magnifying glass to open the full search for all documents and published process content i.e. summary information and process steps: process activities, tasks, notes, documents, process links.

Note: 

Search results do not include:

  • any input or output fields.
  • archived processes.
  • Risk and Compliance Add-on, Improvements Add-on, and Training Add-on content. Use the Search in the Register pages for the Add-ons.

In the navigation bar, the drop-down menu on the right of the search box will filter search results. It can include or exclude titles, in-progress processes, process content, and documents or focus on specific process groups.

Search for processes

Search Terms

Nintex Process Manager searches for all the terms entered as distinct entries linked by ‘and’ statements. The search will accept AND as an operator, and * and % as wildcard terms.

For example, searching for

  • ‘new product’ will return any processes, groups or documents with ‘new’ and ‘product’ in the content. Searching ‘new AND product’ will yield the same results.
  • ‘new product*’ will bring up any process, group or document containing ‘new’ and any extensions of ‘product’ such as products or production.

Recently viewed processes

Do one of the following to access a list of the 10 most recently viewed processes:

  • On the Homepage, click the Recently viewed tab.
  • Go to Processes > Recently Viewed.

Favourites

On the Home Page, click the My favourites tab for quick access to the list of processes, process groups and documents you have marked as favourites. For more information about adding and viewing favourites, see Favourites.

Process Menu

Hovering your mouse over the Process menu on the Navigation Bar displays a drop-down list that allows you to quickly access processes that you are involved in, as well as favourite and recently viewed processes. You can also create a new process directly from this menu.

Note:  Processes I'm in displays the processes you are involved in. If a process you are involved in is linked to another process, the linked process is also included in the Processes I'm in results.
