Use the toolbar options on the Designer page to manage all aspects of your workflow A method of streamlining manual and paper-based processes often comprised of unstructured tasks involving people, processes, and content.. The toolbar is at the top of the workflow designer page and has options you can use to:

Import and export workflows to and from lists, libraries, and sites.
Save and publish your workflow.
Create and manage variables A placeholder that stores changes each time the workflow runs, such as the information entered in a form, or the name of a file. You can also create variables to store information you use in the workflow, such as an email address. of your workflows.
Define workflow settings.
Clear the designer canvas to create a new workflow.
View subscription information and monitor Nintex services.
Provide feedback to Nintex.

Toolbar buttons

Button	Label	Description
	Save	Displays the Save dialog box to save the workflow. For more information about fields and buttons in the Save dialog box, see Save dialog box fields and buttons.
	Publish	Displays the Publish dialog box to publish the workflow. For more information about fields and buttons in the Publish dialog box, see Publish dialog box fields and buttons.
	New	Clears the designer canvas and starts a new blank workflow. A warning message appears if the current workflow has not been saved.
	Open	Displays the Open dialog box to open a previously saved workflow.
	Close	Closes the NintexWorkflow designer and returns to the previous location. A warning message appears if the current workflow has not been saved.
	Import	Displays the Choose File to Upload dialog box for selecting a workflow file (*.nwp) for import.
	Export	Initiates browser process to download the current workflow to a local file (*.nwp).
	Settings	Displays the Workflow Settings dialog box. For more information, see, Workflow Settings.
	Variables	Displays the Variables dialog box. For more information, see, Variables.
	Information	Includes the following drop-down options. Subscription overview: Displays the Subscription Overview dialog box. Service status: Opens the NintexService Status site in a new tab. What's new: Displays a dialog box listing latest updates to Nintex Workflow for Office 365. About: Lists the ID of the tenant that is subscribed to Nintex Workflow for Office 365.
	Feedback	Displays a feedback tool allowing you to provide feedback directly to Nintex.
	Help	Includes the following drop-down options. Help: Displays the Nintex Workflow for Office 365 online help. Support: Opens Nintex Community in a new tab.
	Upgrade details	Available only if the upgrade tool is enabled for the tenant. Opens the Upgrade details report to view upgrade details of workflow actions and task form controls that are included in the workflow before you upgrade workflows from Nintex for Office 365 to Nintex Automation Cloud. If the workflow has any task actions with a task form, the details of the task form controls are also displayed. There are some actions, task form controls and features that are available in Nintex for Office 365 that are not available in Nintex Automation Cloud. The pre-upgrade report allows you to identify these in the workflow before you do the upgrade.
	Upgrade	Available only if the upgrade tool is enabled for the tenant. Opens the Upgrade workflow dialog box for you to start the upgrade process for the workflow.

Save dialog box fields and buttons

Field and buttons	Description
Name	Name of the workflow. Default name: New Workflow
Description	Description of the workflow.
Workflow owner	The workflow owner. This field has to be configured only if you want to send workflow failure alert notifications to the workflow owner. See, Production workflow failure alerts description below.
Task list	SharePoint task list for storage of tasks created by the workflow. Note: When a workflow is published, if the associated task list is not available the default task list is used. For information about how to create a new task list in SharePoint, see Create a task list in SharePoint.
History list	SharePoint workflow history list. History for each workflow instance is saved to the history list selected. For information about workflow status and history, see View workflow status .
Start options	(Available only for list workflows.) Configuration for how a workflow can be started. Select one of the options: Start manually: Allows workflows to be started manually. For more information, see Start a workflow manually. Start when items are created: Start the workflow automatically when a new item is created in the SharePoint list or document library. Start when items are modified: Start the workflow automatically when an item is modified in the SharePoint list or document library. Note: Items modified using the Update List Item action in a conditionally started workflow doesn't trigger another conditional start workflow. As a workaround, the Office 365 update items action can be used to modify the item and trigger the next conditional workflow. Any modification to an item will trigger conditional start when the condition is satisfied even if the modified field is not the field that was specified in the condition.
Production workflow failure alerts	The user to get an alert if an instance of the workflow fails. The alert is sent as an email notification to the selected user if an instance of the worklfow fails. Note: Alert notifications are sent only for failed production workflows. For more information about the failure notification, see Workflow failure alerts. You can select one or both of the following users to send the notification to: Last user to modify the workflow: The email notification is sent to the last user that modified the workflow. Workflow owner: The email notification is sent to the workflow owner. You can specify a user as the workflow owner in the Workflow owner field described in this table, see Workflow owner.
	Saves the workflow.
	Discards any changes made in the Save dialog box.
	Displays a feedback tool allowing you to provide feedback directly to Nintex.
	Displays the Nintex for Office 365 online help.

Publish dialog box fields and buttons

Field and buttons	Description
Name	Name of the workflow. Default name: New Workflow
Description	Description of the workflow.
Workflow owner	The workflow owner. This field has to be configured only if you want to send workflow failure alert notifications to the workflow owner. See, Production workflow failure alertsdescription below.

Component workflow	(Available only for site workflows.) Enables the workflow to be started from another workflow or HTTPS-capable service or application.
Assigned use	The intended use of the workflow. Production: Intended for production use. Counts as a production workflow under your subscription license. Development: Intended for testing and development use only. Counts as a development workflow under your subscription license. Watermarks appear on development workflows as well as on email messages sent by workflows.
Production workflow failure alerts	The user to get an alert if an instance of the workflow fails. The alert is sent as an email notification to the selected user if an instance of the worklfow fails. Alert notifications are sent only for failed production workflows. For more information about the failure notification, see Workflow failure alerts. You can select one or both of the following users to send the notification to: Last user to modify the workflow: The email notification is sent to the last user that modified the workflow.
