Office 365 create navigation

Creates a link in the Quick Launch navigation or top link bar of a SharePoint Online site.

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Destination site URL

URL of the site for the new navigation link.

Navigation type

Link type for the new navigation link. Select one of the following:

  • Quick launch: Navigation link is created on the left side bar of the site.
  • Top link bar: Navigation link is created on the top side bar of the site.
Text to display

Title for the new navigation link.

Address

URL for the new navigation link.

SharePoint Online URL

URL of the SharePoint Online website domain. Example: http://targetdomain.sharepoint.com.

Connection
  • Permissions required: Create navigation links.
  • Connection type required: SharePoint Online: List & library. For more information about Connection types, see Connection types and Connector actions.
Username / Password

(Displayed for legacy actions not yet updated.) Unmanaged credentials.

  • Permissions required: Create navigation links.

Note: As a best practice, manage credentials by updating actions to use connections.

Creation successful

Boolean variable to store operation result. Returns "Yes" if the link is successfully created.

Link title

Text variable to store the title of the new navigation link.

Link URL

Text variable to store the URL of the new navigation link.
