On-premises connectivity in Nintex Apps
Nintex Apps supports connecting to on-premises connections such as Microsoft SQL server and other enterprise systems.
In many cases, Nintex Apps can connect directly to on-premises connections.
How connectivity works
Nintex Apps can connect to on-premises connections when the connection is network-accessible from Nintex Apps services.
This is achieved through IP allow-listing, where network firewalls are configured to allow traffic from Nintex Apps service IP addresses. These IP addresses are region-specific and are configured during connection setup. For more information, see Nintex Apps.
Connectivity issues with on-premises connections in Nintex Apps
Nintex Apps may be unable to connect to on-premises connections in the following scenarios:
-
An on-premises connection is not network-accessible from Nintex Apps.
-
Network policies restrict direct access from external services.
-
Organizational security requirements require a secure connection mechanism.
