Step 6: Deactivate the Nintex for Office 365 workflow
After the workflow is published you have to switch the automated process to run from Nintex Automation Cloud instead of Nintex for Office 365 by deactivating the workflow in Nintex for Office 365. If the workflow is not deactivated instances can run for the workflow in Nintex for Office 365 as well creating duplicate instances. To avoid having the workflow started and running in both Nintex for Office 365 and Nintex Automation Cloud, you must deactivate the workflow in Nintex for Office 365.
Any instances that are already in progress for the workflow in Nintex for Office 365 will continue to run even after it is deactivated.
You can deactivate the workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud or in Nintex for Office 365 as explained below.

Deactivate the workflow when you're publishing it in Nintex Automation Cloud. See, Step 5: Publish the workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud.

Deactivate the workflow in Nintex for Office 365
If you don't select the Deactivate the workflow in Nintex for Office 365 check box when you publish the workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud, you can deactivate it from Nintex for Office 365.

Open the workflow gallery in Nintex for Office 365.

Click displayed in the last column of the workflow you want to deactivate and select Deactivate from the options menu.
Note: After the workflow is deactivated, you can activate it again via the options menu.
After the workflow is deactivated, the Assigned use for the workflow is updated to Deactivated.
