Create an XE Currency connection

Create a connection from the connections page or from the action configuration panel when configuring the action. For information about creating connections and assigning permissions, see Manage connections.

XE Currency account requirements

  • You must have an XE API membership. Your membership level determines the volume of rate requests available to the connector. See Choose your API package for more information.
  • You must use your Account ID and Account API key to create a connection. For more information, see the Permitted Application Credentials section of your dashboard at xecd.xe.com.

Create an XE Currency data lookup

Use the XE Currency data lookup to create a drop-down list of currencies in a form. Each data lookup is configured for a specific user. You can create as many data lookups as you need. For more information on creating a data lookup and assigning permissions to it, see Data lookups.

For example, to allow users to select a specific currency in a form, add a drop-down list of currencies to the form using a Data lookup control A form control that allow users to select from a drop-down list that has values sourced from a third-party service.. The Data lookup form control uses an XE Currency - Get currencies data lookup to list the currencies in the drop-down.

You can create a data lookup to:

  • Convert currency: Converts an amount of one currency into another using the latest available currency exchange rate data.
  • Get currencies: List all the currencies available from your XE Currency account.

XE Currency data lookup fields

When you create an XE Currency data lookup, you can configure additional fields to specify which companies, contacts, deals, deal pipelines, or owners the data lookup should retrieve.

To access the data lookup fields, in the Add data lookup section, select the Connector and the Operation.

The following operations are available for the XE Currency connector:

  • XE Currency - Convert currency

  • XE Currency - Get currencies

The configuration fields displayed depend on the operation selected.
