Run a usage subscription report
Applies to subscription licensing only
The Licensing page displays your current usage and entitlement statistics and the subscription compliance report.
Per the terms in the Nintex Master Subscription Agreement, you are required to submit the subscription license report to Nintex every quarter. The report is automatically generated 15 days before the next scheduled submission date for the quarter and is made available to view via a link on the Licensing page.
The report displays the following information:
- Contract ID and license key for workflows and forms.
- Subscription entitlement statistics.
- Current farm usage statistics.
- Generated hash code for compliance validation.
- Names of all the workflows across the farm.
- Relative URL of workflow location.
- Publish type of workflow (development or production).
- Number of non-billable production and development workflows and number of actions used.
- Breakdown of the billable and total actions used in workflows.
- Breakdown of non-billable workflows showing the number of billable actions and total actions used in workflows.
If the report is not sent on the scheduled submission date, an overdue message is displayed in the Licensing page. You can use the following methods to submit the report to Nintex. They are described in detail below.

Auto submission of subscription report
You can configure the submission of the subscription license report to be automatic on the scheduled submission date. This option is selected by default.
- On the SharePoint Central Administration Home page, click Nintex Administration.
- On the Nintex Administration page, under the Licensing and setup section, click Licensing.
- Select the Allow Nintex Workflow to automatically submit the subscription license quarterly report to Nintex check box in the Subscription compliance reporting section.
The Licensing page opens and displays details of your current license and provides links to the compliance report.
Automatic subscription reporting is made active and the generated report is sent automatically to Nintex on the scheduled submission date.
Upon successful submission of the report, the current date will be shown as the submitted date and the next report submission scheduled date will be updated to show the next quarter due date.
Manual submission of subscription report
To manually submit thereport click the 'Submit report to Nintex' button.
- On the SharePoint Central Administration Home page, click Nintex Administration.
- On the Nintex Administration page, under the Licensing and setup section, click Licensing.
- Clear the Allow Nintex Workflow to automatically submit the subscription license quarterly report to Nintex check box in the Subscription compliance reporting section.
- Click the report name link to open the current generated report.
- Click Update report if you want to regenerate the report.
- Click the Submit report to Nintex button when you want to submit the report.
The Licensing page opens and displays details of your current license and provides links to the compliance report.
The report is still generated, but will not be sent automatically.
Note: Your browser must be configured to allow pop-up messages.
A Microsoft Word document is generated; a pop-up message prompts you to open or save the file according to browser download configuration.
Upon successful submission, the submitted date will be updated with the current date and the next report submission scheduled date will be updated to show the next quarter date.
Note: The Submit report to Nintex button becomes available when the report is generated 15 days before the scheduled submission date. You can also click the Update report link to generate the report for the current quarter and activate the button.
Send the subscription report manually using Nintex Forms
You can submit the report manually to Nintex using a form.
- Click this link to open the Form.
- Fill the details in the On-Prem Consumption Upload form that opens and click Submit.
- Enter your Email address.
- Attach the report to submit.
- Click the Submit button.
