This topic describes how to design a form for a mobile device.
Designing a form for mobile devices in the Responsive Forms Designer
To make a form available for mobile devices in the Responsive Forms Designer:
- Open the Form Settings dialog in the Designer Ribbon.
- Open the Nintex Mobile Settings area.
- Select Publish to Nintex Mobile (iOS and Android).
Designing a form for mobile devices in the Classic Forms Designer
To make your form available on the go, choose either app or device layouts. Device layouts automatically resize forms according to configured screen dimensions. App layouts resize forms according to the native operating system of the device connecting to Nintex Mobile.
You can select device layouts (such as iPad) or app layouts for Nintex Mobile (such as Nintex Mobile Phone). Device layouts automatically resize forms according to configured screen dimensions. In addition to default layouts available from the Forms designer, administrators may configure custom layouts or disable default layouts; for more information, see Manage device layouts for forms.
To add a layout to your form

On the Nintex Forms 2016 tab of the Forms designer, in the Layouts area, click the button for the desired layout.
Some layouts may be listed in the drop-down list under Other Devices. Layouts that do not yet exist for your form are indicated by a plus sign.
The new layout is created using copies of the controls on the default layout. You can add or remove controls as required and adjust the position, size, and settings of the controls to suit the layout. To identify controls used by other layouts, see Identify controls in use.
