Form Toolbar

When designing forms, you use the toolbar to add views and tabs, and to configure controls and cells. The toolbar changes depending on what you have selected and allows you to do things like change the layout orientation, configure expressions, insert rows and columns, merge cells and more.

The Form Toolbar

The following general toolbar options are available when working with a form:

Feature Icon Description
Add a view Allows you to add a view.
Edit a view Opens the View Designerto edit the view.
Remove a view Removes the view.
Add a tab Adds a tab to the form.
Rename a tab Allows you to specify a name for the tab.
Remove a tab Removes a tab.
Move the current tab to the left Moves the current tab to the left.
Move the current tab to the right Moves the current tab to the right.
Set the row layout orientation Allows you to change the form to row orientated.
Set the column layout orientation Allows you to change the form to column orientated.
Expressions Opens the Expression Builder to add an expression. You can add more than one expression.

Table and Cell Toolbar Options

The following toolbar options are available when you use a Table control on the form:

Clear selected table Clears the selected table.
Clear selected row Clears the selected row.
Clear selected cell Clears the selected cell.
Insert Column to the Left Inserts a column to the left of the current cell.
Insert Column to the Right Inserts a column to the right of the current cell.
Insert Row Above Inserts a row above the current cell.
Insert Row Below Inserts a row below the current cell.
Remove Column Removes the current column.
Remove Row Removes the current row.
Merge Cell to the Right Merges the current cell with the one on the right.
Merge Cell Below Merges the current cell with the one below.
Left Align Aligns the content of the cell to the left.
Center Align Aligns the content of the cell in the center.
Right Align Aligns the content of the cell to the right.
Top Align Aligns the content of the cell to the top.
Middle Align Aligns the content of the cell in the middle.
Bottom Align Aligns the content of the cell to the bottom.
