What does the SharePoint Workflow Integration Client Event Wizard Do?

The SharePoint Workflow Integration Process Wizard generates an automated SharePoint, which is sent to workflow participants, and is used to keep users up to date and notify them of impending Worklist items.

Why use the SharePoint Workflow Integration Client Event?

The SharePoint Workflow Integration Client wizard provides the link between the process and the actual work being performed by the end user completing the process.

This wizard is where the process designer specifies the actual workflow event to be completed. For example, if a user needs to approve the item added to the list specified in the SharePoint Workflow Integration process wizard that event and the steps to complete that event by the client are set through this wizard.

The SharePoint Workflow Integration Client Wizard works in conjunction with the SharePoint Workflow Integration Process Wizard
  • When defining the destination users for SharePoint Workflow Integration processes, it is important to note that creating tasks in SharePoint on role level is NOT supported.
  • On the Destination Rule screen the only option that is supported when working with a SharePoint Workflow Integration process is the Resolve all roles and groups to users option.
  • It is best practice NOT to use the same user as destination user that is also configured as the SharePoint Farm Administrator, SharePoint System Account or the Application Pool Account. An actual User account should not be used as the SharePoint Farm Administrator, SharePoint System Account or the Application Pool Account.
