K2 Management Console - Oracle Service

The Oracle Service enables users to create SmartObjects from an existing Oracle Database. The Oracle Service is able to use Tables, Views, Functions, Packages and Stored Procedures in an Oracle database to create service objects within the Oracle Service, which can then be mapped to a SmartObject.

Oracle Service Prerequisites and Rights

Oracle version 9 and up are supported.
64-bit Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) (can be downloaded from the Oracle site, here.)
If the ODAC is not installed prior to registering a new service instance, an error is generated saying the assembly can not be loaded because it is either not present or one of its dependencies is missing.

The K2 Server must be restarted after installing the Oracle components.

Oracle Service Limitations

Only 3 modes of authentication will be supported in the Oracle Service at this time:

Static - i.e. SQL Authentication will be used. So a SQL User (like system) will be specified here.
Impersonation - Logged On user will be impersonated and executed in that context.
Service Account - Authentication will be reverted to the Service Account and executed in that context.
