K2 Workspace Overview

K2 Workspace is a browser-based interface that enables users to manage their worklist, and view and build reports that can be used to manage business processes. Security and permissions are also maintained in the K2 Management Console which surfaces in K2 Workspace. K2 Workspace maintains the worklist associated with the workflow processes allowing the end user to process allocated work efficiently.

K2 Workspace consists of the following base components:

K2 Home page

Presents the user with a work list containing work items assigned to them.

K2 for Reporting Services

Dynamic web - based report creation surfacing common business objects providing all the necessary data allowing decision makers to build reports depending on the business requirements.

K2 Management

The K2 Workspace Management Console contains centralized administration of K2 servers, workflow processes, security permissions, and environment library settings.

K2 Notification Events

K2 enables the developer to configure a customizable notification when an event takes place using the Notification Event.

K2 Security

K2 Workspace identifies the requirement to protect data internally and externally, by offering Domain security.

K2 User Preferences

The user preferences tab enables any user that requires more than one set of user credentials to log into a backend system to be able to cache these credentials as they require them.
