A downloaded report has missing or invalid data
Issue
You run a DocGen Package and see this message:
A downloaded report has missing or invalid data. Please check your button and report configuration. (ResourceInvalid)
Cause
You could get this message if you're using a Salesforce report to generate data for output documents and that report has an authentication issue.
Resolution
You can try enabling Connected Apps to deal with the authentication issue.
To enable or disable Connected Apps
- Click the Nintex Admin tab.
The Nintex Admin Home left navigation displays.
- Under Configuration, click Settings.
- Under Connected Apps and OAuth, click the toggle to enable or disable Connected Apps.
For more information, see Use Connected Apps with OAuth Policies.
Alternatives:
- If you can't resolve access to the Salesforce report, then (instead of a report) you can try using relationships to generate the data for your documents. Consider using either an Unrelated Data or SOQL Query relationship.
For more information, see Relationships.
- Although not the recommended solution, if your organization is using Salesforce Classic Experience, you can add the sessionId parameter to the button you use to generate documents.
For more information, see Button Wizard field reference.
