Additional Documents

The Documents tab in your DocGen Package contains the Additional Documents pane. Here you can add enclosures to your DocGen Package and set permissions for users of the Document Package when including ad hoc files.

Ad Hoc Files

Use the Ad Hoc Files settings to determine which files users can or should include in output documents generated by your Document Package. Click Ad Hoc Files on the drop-down menu in the Additional Documents pane. The pane will expand with the following fields.

Ad Hoc Files fields and descriptions

Fields and buttons Description
Allowed When selected, users will be allowed to include Attachments, Chatter Files, Salesforce Files, and Custom Related Content to the output document.
Required When selected, users will be required to include Attachments, Chatter Files, Salesforce Files, and Custom Related Content to the output document.
Merge Data into Ad Hoc Files When selected, data is merged into documents that were added at runtime.

Enclosures

Use Enclosures to set up a document folder from which users can select documents for inclusion in the output generated by your Document Package. Users can select documents from the folder prior to running the DocGen Package. You can also set a limit for the number of documents users can select from the folder at runtime.

Click Enclosures on the drop-down menu in the Additional Documents pane. The pane will expand with the following fields.

Important: Only documents from the Classic Documents tab can be included as Enclosures.

Fields and buttons Description
Enclosure Folder ID Enter a document folder ID where users can select documents at runtime for inclusion in the output generated by the Document Package.
Enclosure Limit Enter the maximum number of documents that users may select from the enclosure folder at runtime.
