Generate your first document
This topic describes the process for generating a document from a DocGen Package.
After you create a DocGen Package, it is ready generate documents. You will want to test the DocGen Packages you create to ensure they work as you expect.
This topic and all the material in Nintex Drawloop DocGen® for Salesforce Help is written with the assumption that you are an app administrator creating DocGen Packages, and your Salesforce users are generating documents from the DocGen Packages you have created.
Generate your documents
Generating a document looks and acts a little different, depending on whether your users are in Classic Experience or Lightning Experience.
Classic Experience
Generate a document from the Classic Experience.

Navigate to a record for the type of DocGen Package you created. From the record, click Generate Documents.
Tip: If you do not see the Generate Documents button you may need to add it to your Page Layouts. For more information, see Add a button to page layouts on standard or custom objects.

Satisfy all steps of the run DocGen Package page, then click Run to produce the output file.
Lightning Experience
Generate a document from the Lightning Experience by using the DocGen Lightning Component.

Navigate to a record for the type of DocGen Package you created. From the record, click Select DocGen Package using the DocGen Lightning Component.
Tip: If you do not see the DocGen Lightning Component, you may need to add it to your Page Layouts. For more information, see Add the DocGen Lightning Component to page layouts.

Satisfy all required information for the DocGen Package, then click Generate Document to produce the output file.
